I have 2 varieties of Dutch iris in my front yard. One blooms and finishes before the second starts. This is the late bloomer. It's a slightly different color, too.
On the sewing front, I replaced the broken needle on my serger and rethreaded. And I found the knob to adjust the presser foot pressure. It's right on top where you couldn't possibly miss it. Ah, well. The manual even has a section where it discusses how you can fix skipped stitches on thicker seams or where seams cross by lowering the pressure. It's at the back of the manual, and I wonder if I ever got that far. Now, I know.
